The complete renovation of this eight-story townhouse near New York City’s prestigious Museum Mile recasts the Upper East Side typology, transforming it into a brightly lit, modern home for a contemporary art collector. The Federal façade of brick and marble was carefully preserved in accordance with neighborhood historic landmark requirements and everything beyond the façade was demolished.
